Network drives
Overview
For students and staff, we provide a personal storage area (H: drive) on our servers. Moreover, for a department chair or institution, you will receive access to a shared storage area (I: drive).
An overview of the most important information about your network drive
Access to your files
Here’s how to access your files:
- When you log into a PC with your ZIM ID, you’ll be shown the drives in Windows Explorer.
- You can have access to your files through Online Access.
Manage drive
By managing rights, you can change your settings to control who can see and edit your folder and files on the network drive.
Would you like to give student workers access to your I: drive? You can do this in two ways:
- By using rights management to enter the desired person or
- By sending us a Request for User ID and ticking 'Data drive (I)'.
Which variant is best for you? If you want to share individual folders only, choose option 1. If you want to share the entire data drive, choose option 2
Integrate drive
Your network drive will normally be integrated automatically. If you don’t see a drive, you can integrate it manually.
